As one of the most sought after teachers of saxophone, Phil Sobel has most certainly made an impact on the saxophone world. As a student of Henri Lindeman, Sobel has made it a life goal to learn how to really play the saxophone, not just play a type of music on the saxophone.

The founder of the West Saxophone Quartet, Phil Sobel still feels that the quartet was the most important thing that he ever did.
