I was told to use Rouseau Mouthpieces in college and still think they are good solid choices for Classical playing and a great upgrade from those stock, plastic toys that come with most saxes these days.

4R was the piece of choice. Since then I need a little bigger tip openning.

Give them a blow.

Are you talking from more of the Rascher or Mule school of saxophone though?

I tend to be from more of the Mule school and use Selmer pieces. I use a Soloist D on tenor and am getting a Selmer metal E for alto.

Rousseau NC4 since they don't make the other kind anymore.

C* for Bari.

Meyer for soprano.

Don't play classical tenor. Sorry.

You use a Meyer for classical? I'd like to hear that...I don't think my Meyer for alto would even register for a classical sound (LOL).

It is soprano so it works. My classical teacher gave it to me.

JP, I've used a Meyer for classical alto for about 5 years, and somehow managed to make 1st chair in the state wind ensemble of NJ with it... I'd say it registered a little there Cool

I think my old band director used Rouseau, but I can't remember.

Anywho, just because I got a BIG discount on a bunch of items when I bought my sax, I got a Selmer S-90 C* for only $120, saved $180 off the list price.

So far, my C* is good for classical work, but sometime soon I'll check out Rouseau, since all I've heard is good things about them.
